Symi top

I actually designed this top several years ago, and submitted it to The Knitter magazine Issue 178 last year.

In a flash of inspiration I had suddenly thought ‘why do flowers have to be centre front or back of a garment? Why can’t they flow around the sides??’.

The top is a really simple shape, but the crisp cotton colours make it a great summer option. It is knitted using Paton’s 100% cotton 4ply.

The name given to the design ‘Symi’ , is the name of a Greek island, part of the Dodecanese island group.

I love Greece; it’s beautiful scenery; it’s delicious food; and it’s friendly people. So I’m really pleased to have a design whose name celebrates Greece!
