I created this dress for my book of knits inspired by the lovely clothing designs of the early 20th century – A Handknit Romance.
I love the knitted rayon dresses of the 1920s which inspired this simple tube dress, with the skirt knitted in a lace stitch which continues in a panel up the front. The bright red ribbon yarn gives the dress a wonderful drape and sheen.
