Danbury waistcoat

Danbury waistcoat is inspired by a classic mans’ waistcoat – but is knitted!

The design has a textured front, with pointed hem, false pockets and a high V-neck. The back is knitted in plain stocking stitch, with a half-belt that can be used to adjust the fit.

Yarn: The waistcoat is knitted using John Arbon Yarnadelic, a gorgeous, soft sportweight 100% wool 333m/364yds per 100g skein.

Sizes & yarn quantities: The pattern gives instructions for sizes 32-50 ins/81-127 cm, using between 3-5 skeins.

Tension: 28 sts & 36 rows to 10 cm over stocking stitch using 3.25mm knitting needles

Needles etc: A pair 3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) knitting needles; a pair 3mm (UK 11/US 2-3) knitting needles

Removable stitch markers, stitch holders, 8 x 12mm buttons
