Cotton Camisole

Cotton Camisole

Cotton Camisole is a useful camisole that is attractive enough to be worn alone or under a summer blouse.

It is knitted in separate pieces with a shaped bra piece, front and back pieces which both have a folded picot hem.

Yarn: The camisole was originally knitted in Jaeger Siena, a 4ply mercerised cotton (100% cotton, 140m/153yds per 50g ball). This is no longer available but any 4ply cotton with a similar meterage/yardage would work. Firm, crisp cotton would work best.

Sizes & yarn quantities: The pattern gives instructions for 32-40ins/81-102cms bust and uses 3, 4, 4, 5, 5 x 50g balls of yarn

Tension: 30sts and 40 rows to 4ins (10cms) over stocking stitch using 2.75mm (US 2) needles.

Needles etc: pair of 2.75mm (US 2) knitting needles: two 2.75mm double-pointed needles (for straps); elastic knitting thread (for straps)
