Lace Scarf

This pretty lace scarf comprises 2 lace patterns and a lace edging added at the ends.
It looks lovely knitted in an alpaca mix soft yarn as a short scarf, but could be made longer to make a beautiful shawl.

Yarn:

The original sample was knitted using a laceweight yarn: Rowan Fine Lace (80% baby suri alpaca, 20 % extra fine merino, 400m/437 yd 50g Cobweb 922

Sizes & yarn quantities:

The pattern gives instructions for 32 x 70 cm/12.5 x 27.5 ins

The scarf uses 1 ball yarn

Tension: 26sts and 36 rows to 10cm/4ins in lace patt

Needles etc: 3.75mm (US 5) & 3.75 (US 5) needles
