Demeter sample

Demeter

Originally designed for The Knitter magazine, this elegant and feminine cardigan has a flared peplum, lace panels and a tie belt. Originally knitted in a 4ply wool mix, the sample photographed has been knitted using two strands of Rowan Fine Lace, a beautifully soft alpaca and wool mix yarn in an unusual dark dusky pink.

The cardigan is knitted mainly in stocking stitch, but has lace panels at the front, and a band of lace patterning at the hem of the flared peplum. It is completed with small cream shell buttons.
