Jennie Atkinson Knitwear Designs produces designs for patterns for hand-knitting garments. Jennie Atkinson Knitwear Designs is owned and run by Jennie Atkinson who is currently based in London, UK.
Services available on this website – my mailing list and pattern sales – are all provided by third-party services which are listed below.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The third-party services used will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to provide their relevant services. Each has their own privacy policy -links are listed below.
Mailing List
This is provided by MailerLite and you can read their privacy policy here. I do not receive any details from MailerLite when users subscribe or unsubscribe. However, as MailerLite stores the data that you provide when you subscribe (i.e your email address), I have access to it.
This data will be used solely to keep subscribers informed of new patterns or events that may interest them in relation to Jennie Atkinson Knitwear Design. The data won’t be shared with anyone else and subscribers are free to unsubscribe at any time.
Pattern & eBook sales – the shopping cart
This is provided both by Ravelry ( you can read their privacy policy here) and Etsy (you can read their privacy policy here).
As a seller on Ravelry, and as their external shopping cart is implemented on this website, I receive a copy of each download email that gets sent out after purchase – these emails are sent automatically by Ravelry and it is done so that sellers have proof of delivery. Ravelry stores your email address, which may be linked to your Ravelry account if you are a member, and I have access to this sales information. However I delete my copies of the download emails and prefer to use the records stored on Ravelry should an issue with download delivery occur. The same applies with Etsy.
Other Outlets
My patterns are also available from Loveknitting, Click the link to view their privacy policy. I receive no payment or order details at all from this company, only monthly sales figures and statements of earnings.
Payments and transactions
All payments are processed through PayPal and you can read their privacy policy here.
Currently, with the new PayPal arrangement with Ravelry, I do not receive any notifications of payment emails. Previously I would receive an email with each purchase but they were also deleted. Should an issue occur, I consult my PayPal records. When I download my sales data from PayPal for accounting, I do not download or store lists with sensitive data – I simply store the sales figures.
Comments & Media
This website doesn’t have the facility for visitors to leave comments or upload images, and if this changes at any time in the future the privacy policy will be amended to reflect it.
Anonymous analytics are provided by host server One.com.

This website is built using WordPress.org and you can read their privacy policy here

WordPress.org’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how WordPress.org’s visitors use its website. This website doesn’t use cookies.
Ravelry and Etsy (the shopping cart), MailerLite (the mailing list provider), PayPal (the payment processor) and WordPress (website host) all use cookies for their needs – they remember whether you’ve left a comment before or or have an item in your shopping cart. These can be deleted as per your request via your browser.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Contact form and direct email
When you get in touch with me you are required to provide your name and email address so that I can reply to you. Generally I do store these emails within my own email provider so that I have a record of our discussion should you get in touch again about an issue, or should there be a need for me to act or make amendments to any information within a pattern, book, or on this website. These emails are never shared and your details remain private.
How long we retain your data
Purchase email confirmation will be deleted immediately from my mail account and accessed through the relevant third-party provider if necessary.
Mailing list data will be kept for 2 years when subscribers will be asked to re-subscribe or their email addresses will be deleted.
